Following the party meeting in hotel ‘Sonartari’ this afternoon to prepare a tentative list of nominations for the upcoming assembly election a jumbo team of senior BJP leaders this evening left for Delhi by a chartered flight . The team include chief minister Dr Manik Saha, deputy chief minister Jishnu Debbarma, two MPs Pratima Bhowmik and Biplab Kumar Deb, two ‘Pravaris’ Dr Mahesh Sharma and Mahesh Singh. The chartered flight left for Delhi at 5-15 PM.

None of the Delhi-bound leaders made any comment as to the purpose of their hurried visit to Delhi . Even though it is more or less known that the team will submit a tentative list of nominations for the assembly poll to the parliamentary board, union minister Pratima Bhowmik evaded answering questions from the media on the issue. “When things are finalized we will let all of you know first ; now we can not comment” said Pratima to waiting media persons.

Sources in BJP said that the list will be considered by the party’s national leadership and the parliamentary board and then it will be cleared-possibly with lot of changes . The BJP central leadership have got many surveys conducted at the ground level regarding the party’s position vis-à-vis the upcoming assembly election over and above the regular flow of IB reports and changes in the nominations will be made on the basis of the feedback that reached Delhi.
