LF committee hit out at 'false and baseless campaign' of ruling BJP

The left front committee today lashed out at the ruling BJP’s ongoing campaign occasioned by ‘Har Ghar Sushashan and Har Ghar BJP’ in different parts of the state. Describing the campaign as ‘totally false and baseless’ the left front convener Narayan Kar , accompanied in a media conference by CPI (M) state secretary Jiten Chowdhury, said that the entire campaign is designed to mislead people by peddling of lies , half-truths and distorted facts. “The BJP has not even laid a new brick for any project barring the so-called SEZ in Sabroom which is half done ; all that they are doing is inaugurating the projects left completed by the left front government; their false campaign will not carry any weight or credibility with the people ; the conscious people of Tripura are not going to fall for this mischievous campaign” said Narayan Kar.

The CPI (M) state secretary and party’s central committee member Jiten Chowdhury said that having destroyed democracy and rule of law in Tripura by their misdeeds the ruling BJP is preparing to falsify the next assembly election but this will not be allowed by people. “They have destroyed all institutions including profit making PSUs , the government employees are deprived and there is dissatisfaction among people all around; with what face they are running this baseless campaign” asked Jiten. He said that the list of BJP’s perfidies is too long to be recapitulated in a media conference.

Jiten also said that BJP has reduced the ADC to a non-entity, blocking the development of the backward tribal communities as the ADC has been kept starved of funds. “Even the promised amendment of the 6th schedule of the constitution has not come about ; the tribal ‘Kokborok’ language is yet to be included in the 8th schedule of the constitution as promised and the union minister of civil aviation has rejected the demand for announcement in ‘Kokborok’ language in Agartala airport” said Jiten, asking how the BJP is trying to mislead people with ‘blatant fasehood’. Describing the BJP as a ‘fascist force’ Jiten said that since coming to power in 2018 the BJP has never held a free and fair election. “All elections under the BJP regime beginning with the Panchat and loksabha polls of 2019, civic body polls of 2021 and the by-elections to assembly constituencies held this year have been reduced to farces” said Jiten . He however added that the upcoming election to the state assembly will not be easy to rig as people of the state are prepared to resist the ‘goonda gardi’ and falsification of election by BJP in the assembly polls 2023.
