CPI (M) stalwart Badal Chowdhury critical, admitted to AIIMS Delhi

Senior most state CPI (M) leader, former minister and MP Badal Chowdhury is critically ill and has been admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi this afternoon. He had been in Delhi for quite some time on serious health issues but his condition sharply deteriorated this afternoon and he had to be admitted to AIIMS for treatment. There is no official statement on the issue by the CPI (M) but sources in the party said that Badal Chowdhury’s indifferent health over the past few years has been a matter of concern and following the deterioration in his condition he had to be shifted to AIIMS, Delhi today from Tripura Bhawan where he had been lodged.
