Burba Mohan Tripura launches blistering attack on former chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb

Opening out on his decision to desert BJP former MLA and tribal leader Burabmohan Tripura yesterday launched a blistering assault on the former chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb and held him responsible for the decline in the party’s support base. Speaking in a joining programme of ‘Tipra Motha’, the party he had joined after deserting BJP, at remote Depaicherri area under Amarpur assembly constituency in Gomati district, Burbamohan said that he had been left with no other alternative but to quit BJP because of the ill treatment meted out to him by Biplab Kumar Deb. “Not only politically but even at the social level I have lost out heavily because of Biplab Kumar Deb ; I have lost many friends due to him ; I used to inform him of everything but he never tried to redress the grievances I had raised” said Burbamohan.

He asserted that he had no power to describe the pain he had been subjected to by Biplab Kumar Deb. “Even if I keep on talking for a long time the tale of my woes will not end ; even by inviting him to a social function in my house I have lost many friends” said Burba. Nobody has dared to attack Biplab so openly and brazenly before Burba’s tirade though there are many leaders and workers who nurse a serious resentment against him. Burba indicated that in the coming days he will come out with more details about what he had been subjected to by Biplab Kumar Deb. Two years ago there were slogans in the state guest house demanding ouster of Biplab from the post of chief minister by aggrieved BJP workers but Burba has attacked him , targeting him personally.

Meanwhile 31 voters belonging to 7 families joined the ‘Tipra Motha’ yesterday in the programme at Depaicherri . The joining rally was attended by ‘Tipra Motha’s Karbook block president Hiranmay Tripura and former secretary of ‘Motha’s central committee Sanjay Manik Tripura.
