'Sharad Award' will be given on six themes by States Information and Culture Dept: Sushanta Chowdhury

On the initiative of the Department of Information and Culture Affairs, 'Mayer Gaman Ceremony' ( Dashami Jatra) is being organized in Agartala on October 7 to celebrate Durga Puja. Moreover, under the initiative of the Department of Information and Culture, for the first time in the state, clubs and puja committees of Agartala and its surrounding areas will be given 'Sharad Samman' on different themes. Apart from this, district level clubs and puja committees will also be given Sharad Samman.

The road map will be finalized in a few days. In the review meeting, Information and Culture Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said that this is the first time in the state that 'Sharad Samman' and 'Mayer Gaman' program will be organized under the initiative of Information and Culture Department. This event is being organized to commemorate the moment of mother's sacrifice. Apart from Agartala, initiatives will be taken so that people from other parts of the state can also enjoy the procession of the mother. On behalf of the state government, the first, second and third prizes of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 will be given to the participating clubs and Puja Commeeties.

Yesterday, a review meeting was held in Hall No. 2 of Rabindra Centenary Building on Sharad Samman-2022. Information and Culture Minister Sushanta Chowdhury presided over the review meeting. Mayor of Agartala Deepak Majumdar, Chairman of Tripura Tea Development Corporation Ltd. Santosh Saha, Secretary of Information and Culture Department PK Chakraborty, IAS, Additional District Magistrate of West Tripura District Rajeev Dutta, SP (Security) Bijay Debvarma, Director of Information and Culture Department Ratan Biswas, Director of Urban Development Department Tamal Majumder, President of Agartala Club Forum Pranab Sarkar, Editor of North East Colors newspaper Sanjeev Dev and various clubs and government departments representatives were present in thereviewmeeting.
