Rumor machine still active, two more assaulted at Teliamura

The child lifter rumor continues to hunt the state as two more persons who came from outside the state were lynched in the Teliamura area. Police detained both of them but released one after finding no wrong intention in his movement.

The first incident was reported from Karoilong School Chowmuhni area where people detained a 30-year-old youth roaming aimlessly and lynched mercilessly. Later he was handed over to the police. During interrogation, the man said his name is Hiralal Vengre and came from Jharkhand, and worked in a brick kiln. Police still interrogating him.

In another incident, the local people detained one minor boy from the Malabati Bridge area. Locals said two others were with him but they managed to escape. During interrogation, police did not find any inconsistency in his statement and handed over the boy to his family.
