Four Congress leaders including state Youth Congress (YC) president, who were arrested in Bishramganj over allegations of organizing political rally without any permission and attacking on duty police personnel, on Tuesday they get bail from a local court after seven days of jail custody.

On September 13 night Youth Congress’s state president Rakhu Das along with three party leaders Bittu Das,, Rakhu Das and Dulal Ghosh were arrested by the police personnel of Bishramganj police with allegations of organizing a rally without permission and attacking on duty police personnel.

They were produced before a local court on September 14 morning in a case registered at Bishramganj police station under section 148, 149, 333, 353, 427 and 34 of IPC and sent for jail custody.

Advocate and senior Congress leader Harekrishna Bhowmik said that on Tuesday also four Congress leaders were produced before the court and they submitted their plea for bail.

During arguments in support of bail for four Congress leaders, Bhowmik submitted his point stating that this is a false case based on political motivation to suppress the voices of opposition.

Bhowmik also submitted his argument based on IPC section and specially for section-333, which needed a medical report on grievous injuries and police were unable to submit the same report before court. Finally, the court granted them conditional bail.

While reacting to the judgement of court Rakhu Das said that it’s a victory of truth and they have always faith in the judiciary.
