Drug smuggling case, Mumbai Police arrested one Abu Kashem from the Boxnagar area

The Mumbai Police arrested one Abu Kashem from the Boxnagar area under the Kalamchaura Police Station of Sonamura Sub-division in the Sipahijala district. He was reportedly accused in a drug smuggling case in Maharashtra and reportedly absconded.

Bishnupada Bhowmik, officer-in-charge of Kalamchaura Police Station said the Mumbai police team reached here and sought their help to operate in their area. Later they arrested the accused with the help of the local police.

Police took him to Bishramgunj police station for interrogation. 6he Mumbai police also filed a petition seeking a transit visa which was granted and the Mumbai Police left with the accused.
