BJP Janajati Morcha State Committee reconstituted ,lot of suprises in omissions

The Janajati Morcha of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been reconstituted with lot of surprises and omissions. According to a press release issued by the new Janajati Morcha president Bikash Debbarma the 45-member reconstituted jumbo committee do not include former president and party MP Rebati Tripura and ministers Rampada Jamatya and Prem Kumar Reang. Besides the 45 member state committee, 19 persons have been brought in as ‘invitee members’.

As per the list Bikash Debbarma is the sole president while six vice presidents are Mailafru Mog, Pratiram Tripura, Joy Kishore Jamatya, Amitabha Debbarma, Mangal Debbarma and Kabita Debbarma (Jamatya).

There are two general secretaries in the reconstituted state committee in Bhumika Nanda Reang and Devid Debbarma while there are as many as seven secretaries. The lone treasurer in the new committee is Utpal Debbarma while Bhim Singh Jamatya and Satya Narayan Debbarma have been appointed as IT in charge and IT co-in charge respectively. There are two social media in-charges , Bishal Jamatya and Rabindra Reang while Prithwiraj Debbarma has been appointed as culture in-charge. Kamal Debbarma is the office secretary. There are 25 ordinary members in the state committee and, in addition, there are 19 invitee members.

Interestingly the Janajati Morcha leadership have made an effort to give representation to all tribal communities and clans in the reconstituted committee. There are three women members including office bearers in the regular 45-member state committee and four among nineteen invitee members. Sources in BJP said that Rebati , Rampada and Prem Kumar Reang have been dropped because they are performing other important responsibilities as ministers and MP and dual charge is not allowed in the party except in the case of chief minister who can hold dual charges with prior approval of the party’s high command.
