Bring rural markets under the solar light system, Jishnu instructs officials of TREDA

Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma has given special stress on implementing the solar light programs in rural markets and important streets. He also instructed the officials to install pumps in rural and hilly areas to ensure irrigation under the PM Kushum project. He gave the instruction while presiding over a meeting of the governing body of Tripura Renewable Energy Development Agency (TREDA) in the conference hall of the state secretariat.
The minister said the TREDA did not have many activities earlier but after the BJP-IPFT government came into power they persuaded the center and brought many new projects. Now, it is the duty of the TREDA to implement these projects for the benefit of the people.
During the discussion, some difficulties in implementing the project came to the fore and the Deputy Chief Minister who is holding the power portfolio addressed each of them. One of the major issues that came to the fore is the shortage of staff and the minister instantly instructed the officials to take initiative to recruit the necessary staff.
He told the officials to take special initiative to bring the state secretariat and the assembly house under the solar light system. He also told the officials to give special importance to the hospitals to come under solar light system.
