Crucial CPI (M) state committee meet held to adopt fresh political movements

One day state committee meeting of opposition CPI (M) held on Monday and had detailed discussion over the changing present political situation of the state.
Sources said that CPIM) state committee has also discussed the large-scale violence including arsoning of opposition properties and vandalized several party offices and physical attacks over opposition supporters has been continuing across the state due to inactiveness of police administration and has prepared their future political programmes.
Before beginning a one day state committee meeting for two sessions on Monday, CPI (M) state secretary Jitendra Chaudhury said that after 23rd party Congress in Kannur of Kerala, this is the first state committee meeting and they will discuss the rapidly changing political situation of the state.
Motioning the present political situation ‘complex’, Chaudhury said that the state meeting will present their detailed discussion over the future course of action and the committee will take final decisions over activities of the party to restore democracy in the state.
The state committee meeting will also have detailed discussion over organization activities of the party.
It is a matter of serious concern that ruling party supporters are continuing their unprecedented violence and arsoning and has intensified at its many folds, which has been going on since the past 50 months, said Chaudhury.
“If this anarchic condition is allowed to continue, Tripura will be a land of death and destruction and the party will strengthen its movements across the state to restore democracy and peace in the state”, said Chaudhury.
He said that veteran CPI (M) Polit Bureau member Prakash Karat has scheduled to participate in the meeting, but due to heavy rain in Delhi his flight has been cancelled. Majority of state committee members including polit bureau member and leader of opposition Manik Sarkar was also present in the daylong meeting.
