Body of missing kiln worker found in a pond

A floating dead body of a brick kiln worker found in a pond adjacent to DBI brick kiln at Chittamara area of Belonia on Saturday morning.

Police sources said that when other kiln workers from Jharkhand searched for their colleague, Bighu Tirkey (24), who was missing since May 19 night , they found his floating body in a pond adjacent to the kiln.

Immediately, police were informed and they recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue for autopsy. Police added that they started investigation whether Bighu Tirkey was murdered or he drowned in the pond water in intoxicated condition by registering a specific case. They also said that till findings of the autopsy report, the reason of the death cannot be specifically said.
