Two day Agartala Literary Fest beginning from tomorrow under the auspices of Northeast Writers Forum

Following in the foot-steps of celebrated Jaypur literary festival or Bengaluru literary festival where writers, artists and intellectuals of the country converge to discuss and debate exalted issues including politics in a subtle way, the two-day Agartala Literary Fest is beginning tomorrow at Agartala Press Club at the initiative of ‘INTERFACE’, an affiliate of Northeast Writers Forum. There will be lot of other programmes along with the literary fest and the annual general meeting of the Northeast Writers Forum will also come off here and a new committee will also be formed. Already leading writers and members of the Forum have arrived at Agartala and will take part in the deliberations.

A statement issued by secretary of the ‘INTERFACE’ Manishankar Das said that the Northeast Writers Forum basically work to provide a guidance and assistance to writers in different languages of the region as well as in english so that they can give expression to their creativity in different and coherent forms. Besides, the Northeast Writers Forum also evaluate and analyse the fictional and non-fictional creations of Northeast writers in english and suggest ways and means of standardizing them. Besides, help is also extended in the matter of publication of writings and making them available and acceptable to readers and audiences abroad. The ‘INTERFACE’ is doing the same task here as an adjunct of the Northeast writers forum.
