The Eid-ul-Azha prayers of the Muslims will start from 7 am on Saturday. The biggest Eid of Muslims is the Eid of Qurbani. Two Eids are celebrated in a year. They rejoice a little on the day of Qurbani Eid. But this year minorities Muslims will not be able to rejoice because of the corona pandemic. Because the Tripura government has instructed to maintain social distance and perform Eid prayers in  houses. Various Masjid authorities has also been asked not to offer prayers more than  five persons at a time.  State minority minister Ratanlal Nath during a meeting with the minorities leadership also requests minority organisations not to sacrifice animals here and there which is done after Eid prayers. He also requested to maintained peace and hurmuny during the Eid festive sessions.

But at around 7 pm today, the house of Dulal Mia and two others in Ramnagar (7) in Agartala was attacked, allegedly by some miscreants defaming the name of RSS and Vishwa Hindu Parishad. The miscreants took the Eid cow. During the attack and counter attacked several others were injured. Amongst them three were injured seriously. Dulal Mia was one of the injured hospitalized.

Local CPM leaders said today's incident had sparked controversy among Hindus and Muslims. The situation in the whole area is tense due to this incident. The SP of the West Tripura district went to the spot.

Earlier it has been reported that today afternoon the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal gave deputations to the police headquarter regarding cow slaughter on Eid-ul-Adha so that cows are not allowed to be slaughtered in any way. The Congress has alleged that these two organizations actually started all these activities ahead of any Muslim program.

NSUI's Samrat Roy complained that it was not right to give deputation to the police headquarter after making all these provocative statements about cow slaughter and beef. Student leader Samrat Roy strongly condemned and protested against this type of deputation.
