Tripura Govt. is thinking of providing home stay style accommodation for working women in every district

Agartala, August 1: The  government will take initiative to provide 'home stay' style accommodation for women working in the various districts. For this, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has directed the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education to take necessary steps. The Chief Minister gave this instruction at a review meeting of the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education at the 2nd Conference Hall of the civil secretariat on Friday. At the meeting, a proposal was made to change the names of the housemaids and make them domestic assistants.
Special Secretary of the Department Deepa Nair highlighted the various programs of the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education. Social Welfare Minister Santana Chakma and Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar also present and discussed on the various issues.

Notably, presently one home staying facilities available at Agartala city namely Rani Laxmibai government  hostel for working woman.
