In a moment of pride for Tripura, the ‘Ashwini Netralaya’ , located in Vijay Kumar Chaumuhuni of Agartala, has won laurel at the national level for being the ‘greatest rising  super-speciality eye hospital in northeastern region of the country’. In a grand programme held in the prestigious ‘Bharat Mandapam’ auditorium in New Delhi yesterday the chief executive officer (CEO) of the ‘Ashwini Netralaya’ Anurag Majumder received the award on behalf of his institution. 

The programme was adorned by the presence of central ministers Chirag Paswan, Ramdas Athawale, Bollywood actress Nusrat Bharucha and other VVIPS. The Ashwini Netralaya which is officially named as ‘Ashwini Eye Care Private Limited’ had been launched in the year 2023 after the proprietor and CEO Anurag Majumder had purchased the building of the erstwhile regional office of the State Bank of India (SBI). Since then the institution has crossed many milestones in the eye care treatment. In a statement the CEO Anurag Majumder expressed his satisfaction over the award conferred on his institution and said that the institution will keep on its efforts to constantly upgrade its services .
