Trail of unnatural deaths : accidental death, murder and recovery of missing person's dead body

That casualties of road mishaps replaced the steep death rate of civilians in the hands of militants early last decade was proved long ago. But the spate of painful and tragic deaths have now assumed the form of unmitigated tragedies for affected families. In a heart-rending incident a college student Tutan Debnath , a student of BBMC  at Agartala and a resident of Kalyanpur, had been driving his scooti at an abnormally high speed . Unable to control the speeding vehicle , Tuton had crashed against a roadside electric pole and fell unconscious on the ground at Totabari area under Kalyanpur police station yesterday in the evening. He was rushed to GBP hospital, Agartala for treatment but breathed his last . The entire village of Totabari converged on his house in grief after Tuton’s dead body had been taken there today.

In yet another incident the dead body of a missing person Harisadhan Dhar (60) was recovered yesterday from Kashimara area under Sidhai police station in Mohanpur subdivision. A resident of Jagatpur village under Mohanpur subdivision , Harisadhan had a habit of disappearing from his house every now and then. He had gone missing this time last week and nobody could trace him. Yesterday local people of Kashimara saw a dead body floating on a pond and reported the matter to police. Later the dead body was identified as that of missing Harisadhan Dhar.

Meanwhile, in a bizarre incident a father clubbed his son to death in Dhanpur area under Sonamura subdivision. Police sources said that Babul Barua (58), a resident of Dhanpur village under Sonamura, had a longstanding dispute with his unruly son Jhuton Barua (26) over the latter's drinking orgies and misdemeanor. On Sunday night Babul Barua could not bear with his drunken son's depredations at home and hit him hard on head with a wooden club. Jhuton fell unconscious and was shifted by relatives and neighbours to Sonamura hospital where he died within a short time of admission. The police arrested the killer father Babul Barua.
