As per the state and central government 'Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana' dashboard (https://saubhagya.gov.in) there is no balance un-electrified households in Tripura, but still Saubhagya Yojana Contractors under Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) are not getting their long pending bills and some of the aggrieved contractors today gheraoed district AGM office in Bishramganj for not getting pending bills for last 30 months.
As per the Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana dashboard (https://saubhagya.gov.in), total households in Tripura is 7,88,871 and electrified households as on 10th October, 2017 was 6,52,463. Balance unelectrified households as on 10th October, 2017 was 1,36,408 and household progress from 10th October, 2017 to 31th January, 2019 1,36,408 and additional households electrified from 1st February, 2019 onwards due to Saubhagya Rath Campaigns, Camps, Control Centre, etc to till 31st March, 2019 was 2682 households. As per the Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana dashboards (https://saubhagya.gov.in) latest report as on today there are no balance un-electrified households in Tripura.
But the pathetic part of the project is that, although 2 years have passed since the completion of Govt's Saubhagya Yojana work, the enlisted contractors working in the TSECL office, who still failed to get their fair share of money, gheraoed the district AGM office at Bishramganj to get their dues back. The power sub-contractor claimed that their protest will continue till the AGM finds a way to solve their long pending bill issue.
