Smugglers car dashed BSF patrolling vehicle at Kamalchaura, three sustained injuries, huge cloths seized

Three  persons involved in smuggling of clothes to Bangladesh sustained injuries when their Bolero car dashed a BSF vehicle patrolling near the Kalamchoura Border Outpost under Boxanagar of Sonamura sub-division of Sipahijala district. All the three injured were admitted to the Boxnaga Primary Health Centre and subsequently were referred to GB Hospital as their condition was found to be serious.
The smugglers were identified as Biswajit Pal, Biswajit Nama and Pridip Das. All of them are residents of Boxnagar and known for their smuggling connections. On Thursday night at around 1 pm they were moving towards the Bangladesh border with a huge load of clothes and lost control when the BSF vehicle suddenly came in front. The car dashed the BSF vehicle and overturned. BSF said the accident took place as the smugglers were trying to escape from the scene.
Receiving the information police team from Kalamchaura Police Station rushed to the spot and seized the vehicle and the clothes worth Rs 10 lakh. A case has been filed against the driver of the vehicle Biswajit Das.
