The newly formed 'Tipra Motha' party chairman Pradyot Kishore today exuded confidence that his party will secure a comfortable majority in the ADC election that came off yesterday. Interacting with the media Pradyot said that polling had continued till late night yesterday as large number of voters had waited patiently to cast their votes. "Some unfortunate incidents took place in certain constituencies of the state like in Golaghati, Pekuarjala, Takarjala etc ; we are collecting the full data and we may demand repoll in 60-70 polling booths ; I have already informed the state election commissioner and a delegation from my party will meet him tomorrow to submit the list of booths where we will seek repoll" said Pradyot.

Apart from this, Pradyot said that he will personally meet the DGP V.S.Yadav to apprise him of the critical law and order situation in the state and seek remedial action so that people can live peacefully and without threat of attacks. He also ruled out  post-poll alliance with any other party and asserted that 'Tipra Motha' will secure majority on its own and form the next council in ADC. Asked about CPI (M) leader Bijan Dhar's stated preparedness to consider extending support to the 'Tipra Motha' in forming the council, Pradyot said that 'Bijan Dhar should speak to be directly about the matter or his proposal in stead of floating ideas through the media'. He asserted that 'Tipra Motha's main fight in the ADC election is with the BJP and 'there is no other party in between, not even the CPI (M)' and his party will easily form the next council.
