Police failure to prevent, Candidates attacked in many places, allegations of obstruction of voting , CPIM Surrounded SDM office in Belonia

Since the Pur and Nagar Panchayat polls started at 7 am today, there have been allegations of widespread attacks and terrorism from various parts of the state, including the capital Agartala. There are also allegations that many voters of the Pur Nigam wards in the capital city of Agartala are not able to cast their votes on their own. Opposition agents have been reportedly forcibly removed from polling stations in several places. There have also been allegations of beatings of several candidates and pro-opposition voters.
The complaint came from Ward No. 51 of Agartala Pur Nigam. T M C vote candidate Tapan Biswas has been bloodied. There have been complaints from Ward 51 that TM C candidates have been barred from voting. Wards 7, 13, 14, 4, and 40, 47 have also been accused of preventing opposition voters from going to the polls.
Opposition candidates have been barred from voting at Gandhi School Ramthakur Pathshala and Anandmarg School. A similar complaint was lodged at the Indranagar School polling station in Ward 8 of Agartala Pur Nigam, where a group of miscreants entered the polling station at 7 am and caused a commotion. Voting was stopped till 11 o'clock. It has been alleged that the T M C candidate of Ward 51 has been beaten. Tapan Biswas, a candidate from Ward 51 of Agartala Pur Nigam, has been taken to hospital.
Similarly, Sanhita Banerjee, a TM C candidate from Ward 40, alleged that two of her agents had been kidnapped. Meanwhile, BJP miscreants are wreaking havoc in every ward of Belonia Pur Parishad. These attacks are taking place in front of the police and field authorities of the Election Commission.
