Manik calls for united fight against BJP governments

Agartala, August 13, 2019: Opposition leader Manik Sarkar said that both BJP governments in centre and in state are the enemy of youths and appealed to the youths of the state to come forward for united fights against these governments.

Addressing a gathering of youths at Agartala town hall during the central convention of Tribal Youth Federation (TYF), Sarkar slammed the state government for adopting privatization policies in education sector of Tripura, especially for privatization of mid-day meal.

Castigating the role of NDA government for abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcation the state into two Union Territories, Sarkar claimed that it's an attack in the constitution of the country and federal structure of the nation. He also said that it’s a direct attacks of the rights of the people of the J & K.

Mentioning the 10 point charter of demands by TYF including fill up of all vacant government posts, starting of recruitment process of 12,000 non-teachings posts and more 1000 posts in Social Education department of the state government for proving an alternative job options for 10, 323 ad-hoc teachers and other unemployed youths, wages of MNGREGA at Rs. 340 per mandays, more power to ADC etc, Sarkar praising the demands of TYF appealed to all youths of TYF increase their mass contacts in grass-root levels and to create voices against policies of the BJP governments.

He also appealed to the activists of TYF to strengthen their organizations for overall welfare of youths of the state.

During the convention former MP Jitendra Chaudhury, CEM of ADC Radhacharan Debbarma, Naresh Jamatia, TYF leaders Amalendu Debbarma and Rajendra Reang also addressed the gathering.

Later, addressing a press conference TYF leader Amalendu Debbarma said that in support of their 10 point charter of demands TFY will strengthen their movements across the state.
