Agartala, Nov 8 2019: The dream of Jirania residents is all set to be fulfilled after the state government sanctioned Rs. 22 crore for setting up a new Sub-Divisional hospital at Office Tilla.

It was the all out efforts by local MLA Sushanta Chowdhury that finally resulted in the development- sanctioning of Rs. 22 crore for new Sub-Divisional hospital. Tender will be floated very shortly so that construction works for establishing the modern hospital could get underway as early as possible.

The newly created Sub-Division has a population of over 2 lakh but there has been no proper healthcare facility to the people. Expectant women and children are suffering the most due to lack of proper healthcare facilities. Now, the resident of Jirania could expect good medical facilities at their doorstep instead of depending on GBP or IGM hospital.

Chowdhury thanked Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb for sanctioning the long pending project. "On behalf of the people, I thank the Chief Minister for okaying the plan and people will be immensely benefitted from it", he said.
