Due to Eid, August 1 should not a lockdown: CPI(M)

Agartala, July 31: The state government has extended the full lockdown from July 27 to August 4. It has brought the entire state under complete lockdown for 9 days in a row, which has dealt a severe blow to the livelihood of the working people. From the beginning, the CPI(M) has been demanding cash transfers and free foodgrains for the financially distressed. But the situation has become more complicated as the state government has not taken effective steps in this regard. The CPI (M) is once again demanding cash and free foodgrains for the economically distressed people. And demanded as August 1 is the date of Eid,  there's should not be lockdown on that day.
