Day long movement ends, CM to meet 10,323 teachers after a month

Agartala, August 14, 2019: Chief Minister Biplab Kumar would meet the 10,323 teachers who are all set to be out of service from April 1, 2019, to hear their voice after a month.
The message was communicated to the 10,323 teachers by SDM of Sadar Sub-Division Ashim Saha accompanied by SDPO Sadar Drubha Nath after day-long rally and wait.
A strong number of 10,323 Ad-hoc teachers today gathered at Rabindra Bhavan with a view to meet the Chief Minster to give him a deputation on five-point charter of demands.
A rally which was started from Rabindra Bhavan ended at Circuit House after touching all the important streets of the capital town to draw the attention of the people.
The rally ended at Circuit House area where they were stopped by the police. Around 4 pm, the SDM rushed to the agitation venue and informed them that the CM would meet them after a month. Finding no other alternative, the 10,323 teachers dissolved the programme.
