Chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb leaves for Calcutta, possibly to campaign for West Bengal assembly polls

The chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb is leaving for Calcutta this evening, presumably to campaign for BJP in the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal . Though the chief minister's programme schedule has not yet been officially released , highly placed official sources said that he is going there to help in the BJP's campaign for the polls scheduled to come off in several phases between end of April and middle of May this year. Sources said that the chief minister's programme schedule is being finalized by the West Bengal unit of BJP and it will be delivered to him after he reaches Calcutta this evening.
Meanwhile, former BJP in charge of Tripura and party general secretary Ram Madhav is also in Calcutta and a meeting between Biplab and Ram Madhav is likely to take place on crucial issues pertaining to interests of the state. They will discuss the strategy and tactics of dealing with the situation arising from strains in BJP's relationship with coalition partner IPFT.
