Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb falls sick of COVID-19, in home isolation as part of treatment

The chief minister Biplab Kumar has contracted COVID-19 and has confined himself in home isolation as per advice of the doctors. Biplab himself has given this information through a social media post in 'Facebook'. While announcing his sickness himself , Biplab has urged upon the people to abide by the COVID protocol suggested by doctors. 

The chief minister has spearheaded the BJP's campaign in the just-concluded ADC election, moving all over the state to address rallies and processions as well as to interact with party workers and supporters. How and when the contracted the infection is still not clear. However yesterday he took part in a programme in the Ballavpur village behind the Tripura Central University (TCU) along with deputy chief minister Jishnu Debbarma and BJP MLA of Suryamoni Nagar constituency Ram Prasad Paul. Sources among doctors here said that it would be advisable for Jishnu and Ram Prasad as well to quarantine themselves as a precautionary measure.
