CPI (M) demand repoll in 65 booths spread over 11 ADC constituencies , allege reduction of election to farce

The CPI (M) has demanded repoll in 65 polling booths under 11 ADC constituencies and have  filed a petition for this to the state election commission tomorrow. Speaking to media persons in the state CPI M) headquarter , the party's state secretary and central committee member Gautam Das said that they are still collecting information about the electoral malpractices and rigging from across the state and demand for repoll may be made for more booths. 

"From yesterday in the afternoon the BJP IPFT had started pushing in large number of miscreants from plainand areas into ADC and this continued all through the night ; the result was seen today all through ; it is however a sign of hope that people for the first time in last three years have stood up in resistance and cast their votes themselves braving all threats and intimidations" said Gautam Das. He also recalled that no election in the BJP-IPFT regiime has been free an fair and pointed out that in the loksabha election repoll in altogether 476 booths had been recommended while earlier in Panchayat elections 95% of seats had been forcibly captured by the BJP . Gautam also congratulated the people for coming out in resistance against the malpractices of BJP-IPFT in today’s election. 

Gautam said that the CPI (M) have demanded repolll in 4 booths under Gangangar-Gandacherra constituency, 1 in Simna-Tamakari, 7 in Bodhjung Nagar-Wakinagar, 10 in Jirania, 2 in Mandai, 4 in Pekuarjala, 3 in Amtoli-Golaghati, 17 in Kathalia-Mirza, 3 in Raima Valley, 9 in Natun Bazar-Malbasa, 1 in Purba Muhuripur-Bhuratoli. He said that in certain constituencies polling percentage of 95-96% has been recorded whereas many people from these areas are stationed outside the state. "We are collecting information and we will submit the names and details to the state election commission" said Gautam. Senior party secretariat member of CPI (M) and central committee member Bijan Dhar said that state election commission was responsible for the mess and violence witnessed today. "Had the state election commission been more pro-active things that happened today could have been avoided" said Bijan.
