Dr BR Ambedkar is one of the most under rated and certainly least understood and glorified hero amongst Indian intelligentsia. He was a renowned social reformer, politician and jurist.

Ambedkar is called the Father of Indian Constitution. "Right to Vote" i,e 'Adult franchise' was given by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Dr Ambedkar strived hard for liberation and empowerment of Indian women. He framed many laws for Women in India. Few are as follows,

1) Equal pay for equal work irrespective of the sex.)

2) Women Labour welfare fund,

3) ESI,

4) Provident fund Act,

5) Women Labour Protection Act,

6) Maternity Benifit for women Labour bill,

7) Divorce Act,

8 ) Right over parental Property,

9) Leave Benefit to Piece Workers,

10) Revision of Scale of Pay for Employees,

Dr Ambedkar realised rape, violence against women, gender discrimination, physical abuse are all problems that face more by women in India now-a-days. National Crime Records Bureau, 2001-11 reports that the extent of atrocities committed against Scheduled Caste is enormous. It highlights that there have been 15,917 Scheduled Caste women raped. How many laws may come these atrocity peril will be end only when the Women themselves destroy all these shackles of slavery.

He strongly believed that social education and political elevation of women are the foundations for all this change. That's why Dr. Babasaheb insisted on the education of girls. He strongly believed" that if a boy gets education, he is the only person to get educated in a family. Perhaps, if a girl child is educated in a family, the whole family is benefitted".

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was the Savior of Labor Rights in India.Few people in India have the knowledge about What Dr. Ambedkar had done for them.

following also came from his brain.:

-He was against inclusion of article 370 in constitution.

-Reservation of seats for depressed classes in assembly & parliament Etc.

According to ministry of social justice and empowerment he was one of the most knowledgeable person in law of that time in the world.

His achievements are huge and he was such a versatile personality that no one can explain his all achievements. He began to represent the whole depressed class community after the Poona Pact. In this pact he asked for around 70 seats in Central legislation and reservation to all the depressed class in government services and in provincial governments. Though, initially he demanded separate electorate for depressed classes, as was enjoyed by the  Muslims and the  christians. Gandhiji was opposed to that and started fasting. Gandhiji's health deteriorated and from political pressure Ambedkar had to withdraw his proposal and "The  Poona pact of 1932 was signed.

After this pact he became a famous public figure and according to some books it is told that because of this successful pact he got the chairmanship of drafting committee for constitution of India. He formulated all the reservation criteria in the constitution and helped in the upliftment of the depressed classes. He was against Article -370 & proponent of Hindu code bill. He had difference of opinion with Jawaharlal Nehru on these two bills. So, he resigned from Nehru's  ministry.

In 2012 there  was a poll to select greatest Indian post independence, sponsored by Reliance Mobile and conducted by Outlook magazine, in partnership with CNN-IBN and The History Channel where 20 million people world over had participated online.  Dr B R Ambedkar was declared first among 100 proposed names. Amongst 32 Juries of different field Sri Amitabha Bacchan was one of them.

With all his contribution and talent he had to wait for 44 years to get the honor Bharat Ratna award. He was conferred Bharat Ratna by the ministry of V P Singh which was supported by BJP. India is indebted to this great soul, I pay my tribute to this great Indian on his 129th. birth anniversary.
