Agartala Book Fair to be inaurgurated by chief minister Dr Manik Saha tomorrow at 5-30 PM

The 42nd annual Agartala book fair will be inaugurated by the chief minister Dr Manik Saha tomorrow at 5-30 PM in the international fair ground at Hapania, south of Agartala. Many national and international publishers of books have already arrived to set up stalls in the fair ground. Besides the chief minister who will be the inaugurator and chief guest, many guests of honour and special guests will adorn the occasion.

Prangopal Dutta, MP from Bangladesh, ministers Ratan Lal Nath, Sushanta Chowdhury and Bikash Debbarma will attend the inaugural programme alongside AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, BJP MLAs Ram Prasad Paul and MLA Meena Rani Sarkar . There will be three special guests in the programme, chief secretary J.K.Sinha, secretary ICA P.K.Chakraborty and Arif Mohammad, assistant high commissioner in the office of Bangladesh assistant high commission at Agartala. Besides, speeches of dignitaries, there will be a cultural programme to entertain the audience. The ICA department director Ratan Biswas has invited all to attend the inaugural programme of the ten-day book fair tomorrow.
