Centre approves road projects in Tripura

New Delhi, Dec 09, 2025 : The Central Government has sanctioned around 69 crore rupees for 25 road projects in Tripura to enhance connectivity in 30 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) habitations of the state.

The Ministry of Rural Development said that these projects are being initiated under the Road Connectivity component of Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adiwasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan. It added that this initiative will improve the socio-economic condition of the PVTGs, foster economic development, trade, and commerce in the state.

The Ministry further said that the projects will have a transformative impact on the region, which will cement the government’s commitment to inclusive development.
