Tripura industry body sets up 13-member panel, honours meritorious students

The Tripura Industry Owners’ Association has constituted a new 13-member committee and organised a programme to felicitate meritorious students, besides holding a health camp at Udyog Bhavan in the Bodhjungnagar Industrial Complex.

The event focused on strengthening the association’s organisational activities and discussing issues related to the industrial sector. Members of the newly formed committee and other participants also discussed plans to widen the association’s activities in the coming days.

As part of the programme, meritorious students from families of workers and employees associated with different industrial units were felicitated for their academic performance. The initiative sought to encourage the students to continue their education and pursue higher academic achievements.

A health camp was also held during the programme, where people underwent health check-ups and received advice on health-related matters.

Among those present were Tripura Industry Owners’ Association general secretary Pan Gopal Saha, Longtorai Gurha Master proprietor Ratan Biswas, Tripura Merchants’ Association general secretary Sujit Roy and Tripura Ispat Shilpa proprietor Bishal Solanki. Other office-bearers of the association, industrialists and invitees also attended the programme.

Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of addressing the welfare of workers and their families alongside efforts to promote industrial development in the state.

They said the association planned to organise further initiatives concerning education, health and social responsibility. The participants also stressed the need to continue such programmes for workers’ families and the wider community.
