Unruly house-wife beaten up by neighbouring ladies , police intervene

In a bizarre incident symptomatic of social resistance against unethical acts , a large group of ladies today severely beat up an unruly house-wife who had been physically torturing and even assaulting her old in-laws as well as her own husband for a long time while indulging in immoral activities.

Sources from Gokul Nagar area under Bishalgarh subdivision said that the unruly house-wife named Jhuton Das (31), wife of Kamal Das of Bhuiyar Matha area in Gokul Nagar, is of extremely unruly nature . During the past five years of her marriage she has been in the habit of regularly ill-treating and even in torturing her husband as well as old in-law. Her neighbours in the area, specially ladies who knew everything including immoral activities of Jhuton Das in the absence of her husband, had warned her against such activities on many occasions.

But this morning Jhuton had beaten her in-laws again over a trifling issue in the absence of her husband. The news spread fast and the neighbouring ladies ganged up and rushed to the spot and dragged unruly Jhuton Das out of home and gave her a sound thrashing. As things were going out of control local people informed the police personnel of Bishalgarh police station . A police team arrived on the spot and noted down all details but police sources avoided a direct reply to queries as to whether a case had been registered. Sources from Gokul Nagar said that the local people are quite happy over what happened to unruly Jhuton Das as she has earned considerable notoriety for her unruly behavior and ill-treatment of her husband and in-laws. She has undergone treatment in the Gokul Nagar primary hospital.
