Google coming to Tripura in a boost to Tripura’s march to achieve IT excellence

In a big boost to Tripura government’s quest for the state’s advancement in IT application and digitization, the Google India, the world’s biggest giant in IT software and related all other services is coming to Tripura. For this to materialize the Google India representative who attended the ‘Destination Tripura Business Summit’ signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the state government. This MOU will pave the way for Google’s collaboration with the state government in the fields of emerging technology, Artificial intelligence, skill development and innovation. Apart from this, the state government has also signed a MOU with the IIT Kharagpur and the ICT academy.

A senior official of the state government said that the Google will help the state in building up an AI ecosystem in the state. What is more important is that Jeya Raghul Geshan B. , director of IT in Google India has agreed to transfer technology and share resources for further development of what will be done initially. The official said that several other MOUs have been signed with companys to facilitate the arrival of drone technology, cloud infrastructure and audio-visual and IT consultations within the state. Several other companys have evinced keen interest in setting up semi-conductor units and the state government is in touch with them.
