Massive land scam in Aralia , helpless woman’s land conspiratorially mutated in the name of mafia

The civil life in Tripura has been facing a new menace in the form of forcible occupation of land, changing mutation of land and occupation of government Land by the unholy nexus of corrupt-to-the-bone Tehshil offices , mafia elements and land sharks across the state. The latest such has come to notice from what happened in Aralia area under Pratapgarh assembly constituency south of Agartala town. Yesterday a kidney patient youth Rajesh Saha had gone with guardians of the Jogendra Nagar area to visit a plot of land recorded in the name of his mother Minati Rani Saha but was physically assaulted by a mafia element Bhajan Das who had illegally got the plot of land mutated in his name by bribing . Rajesh Saha who is a serous kidney patient and in need of urgent transplant returned from the plot of land in Jogendra Nagar bruised and appealed to the state government and chief minister Dr Manik Saha to ensure restoration of his land.

According to details of the case , Rajesh Saha’s late father Ranjit Saha had purchased a plot of land in the name of his wife Minati Rani Saha in Jogendra Nagar area in the year 1992 but the plot of land remained unused as Ranjit Saha died soon after . Recently Rajesh Saha was diagnosed as a serious kidney patient and advised a transplant of kidney while under treatment. Since lot of money is needed for his treatment Rajesh’s mother Minati Rani Saha told him to sell off the plot of land in Jogendra Nagar area. But after going there he found the land fenced and was told that it is under the occupation of the local mafia and land-shark Bhajan Das . Rajesh realized that their lack of care for the land and inability to obtain mutation certificate on it soon after purchase in 1992 might have led to a mischief . He soon found out that his land had been mutated in the name of Bhajan Das in the year 2015 but after filing an RTI petition in the SDM office to know the status of the land he came to know that the plot of land is still recorded in the name of his mother Minati Rani Saha as owner.

He had gone to the plot of land in the Jogendra Nagar area yesterday along with influential people of the locality but was attacked and injured by the illegal occupant mafia Bhajan Das and his accomplices. Confined at home with injuries , Rajesh and his mother have appealed to the state government and the chef minister Dr Manik Saha to take steps to restore their land soon.
