Police recover stolen motorcycles, mobile phones in Gomati district

Gomati district police have recovered seven stolen motorcycles and 22 mobile phones during a recent anti-theft drive conducted across different parts of the district.
The recovery was made by personnel of Radhakishorepur Police Station following a series of theft complaints reported from various areas under the Udaipur subdivision over the past few months.
Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, Additional Superintendent of Police (Gomati) Rishav said police intensified surveillance and investigation after repeated incidents involving the theft of motorcycles, mobile phones, cash and valuables were reported from different localities.
He said the special operation, carried out under the supervision of Radhakishorepur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Sanjib Laskar, led to the recovery of the stolen items from multiple locations within the subdivision.
Police officials stated that one of the recovered motorcycles and all 22 mobile phones have already been returned to their owners following directions issued by the Udaipur District and Sessions Court. The remaining recovered vehicles are being processed in accordance with legal procedures.
Rishav said efforts to curb property-related crimes are continuing and credited coordinated policing and public cooperation for helping investigators trace the stolen items.
He also acknowledged the contribution of the police team involved in the operation, noting that sustained field-level efforts helped in achieving the recoveries within a short period.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer Devanjali Ray and Officer-in-Charge Sanjib Laskar were present during the press conference.
Police said investigations are continuing to identify those involved in the theft cases and to recover any remaining stolen property.
