CATC 2026 & U-17 Football Championship Kick Off in Agartala with High Energy and National Spirit

The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) 2026, along with the Inter-Unit Under-17 Boys Football Championship, commenced today at Sahid Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel in Agartala. The camp is being organized by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) under the 15 Tripura Battalion, Silchar Group.

The event was formally inaugurated by Lt. Col. Rohan Gupta, who highlighted the importance of discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship among cadets. Addressing the participants, he encouraged them to make the most of the camp by developing both physical endurance and character.

Approximately 500 cadets from various schools and colleges, including participants from different states, have joined the camp. The diverse participation reflects a strong spirit of unity and national integration, which remains a core objective of NCC training programs.

In an exciting start to the football championship, early training sessions and practice matches have already generated intense competition. Teams displayed remarkable energy, coordination, and determination, indicating a highly competitive tournament in the days ahead.

The camp is being held at Tula Bagan in West Tripura, near Mohanpur, and will continue until May 13, 2026. The schedule includes rigorous physical training, drill exercises, personality development sessions, and competitive sports activities.

Organizers believe that the camp will play a crucial role in instilling discipline, teamwork, and camaraderie among cadets. At the same time, the football championship is expected to showcase emerging young talent, offering a platform for future athletes to shine.
