With only three days remaining before the crucial ADC election, the BJP today staged a massive show of strength in the Maharanipur-Teliamura ADC constituency where Billu Jamatya, son in law of the minister for tribal welfare Bilkash Debbarma is the party candidate. A massive procession of BJP workers and supporters led by candidate Billu Jamatya and his father in law and tribal welfare minister Bikash Debbarma today moved through different areas of Mungiakami police station area in a festive spirit with slogans . The meeting had started from the Ramkrishnapur Shakti Kendra. There was a celebratory mood all along the procession and the participants appeared to be quite enthusiastic over the entire event.

Soon after the procession had ended the minister for tribal welfare and senior BJP tribal leader Bikash Debbarma spoke to media persons . “The mood of people in the entire ADC area has changed the people have seen through the evil designs and corruption of the ‘Tipra Motha’ leaders and workers ; the tribal people now want real development and that is why they are extending their support to the BJP which will get a comfortable majority in the polls” said Bikash.

He also strongly condemned the ‘terror tactics’ of the ‘Tipra Motha’ all through the campaign and said that the voters will give them a fitting reply in the poll outcome. “On many occasions the ‘Tipra Motha’ workers and supporters have launched physical attacks on our leaders and ministers to prevent them from campaigning but our cadres have maintained utmost restraint ; there is no place for political terrorism in a democratic set-up and we want the election to be peaceful” said Bikash Debbarma. He added that thousands of ‘Tipra Motha’ workers and supporters have joined the BJP over the past few months and the positive outcome of this will be reflected in the results of the election.
