Daring theft in another Higher Secondary school in Kailasahar, cash and valuables taken away

In keeping with the recent trend there was a daring theft in another higher secondary school in Kailsahar subdivision with the thieves making off with cash of several thousand , other valuable materials like the school bell and computer parts . The theft occurred last night in the Rudra Singh higher secondary school under Gournagar block in Kailasahar subdivision .

Giving details police sources said that the school remains unguarded at night and taking advantage of this a gang of thieves broke down the lock of the office room of the school and intruded into it before safely making off with stolen items. This morning the teachers of the school arrived and found the office room unlocked . It was clear that the thieves had intruded into not only the office room but also the chamber of the headmaster.

Speaking to media persons the headmaster of the school Rajmohan Sutradhar said that what all the thieves had stolen away was clear but cash amounting to thousands might have been taken away as the admission process in the school is still on and many guardians of students had deposited money for admission of their wards into various classes. Several other items including the school bell , computer parts and other items of use were also missing , said Rajmohan Sutradhar , the headmaster. After being informed by the school authority the police came from Gournagar and noted down the details and assured the school authority as well as the guardians and students that the investigation would be launched immediately and the thieves would be caught .
