It has been a long tradition that the state election commission always issue a timely notification of the poll date and give details of the final electoral roll in a media briefing session . But this time there has been an exception as there was no press conference on the scheduled date for releasing the final electoral roll on March 13. No press release has been issued either to give details of the final electoral roll.

Expressing grave resentment over this lapse leaders of opposition political parties said that they do not exactly know who the state election commissioner is and how preparation is being made for holding the election and on which date. There is also a grey zone over the law and order situation and how the shape of security forces deployment will be for the polls which are expected to be a tense affair.

However , unofficially a purported final voter list is doing the rounds in the social media. According to the final list available from social media the total electorate in the 28 elective seats in the ASDC is 9,62,697 of which male voters are 4,82,025 and female voters are 4,80,666. There are one each of transgender voters in Bodhjung Nagar-Wakinagar , Mandai-Pulinpur, Pekuarjala-Janmejay Nagar and there are three transgender voters in Takarjala-Jampuijala ADC constituency.

According to the unofficial list, the largest ADC constituency is Damcherra-Jampui where there are 49,566 voters while the smallest ADC constituency is Takarjala-Jampuijala which has an electorate of 21,550. However the political parties are now eagerly awaiting the official notification of the poll date and release of the final electoral roll.
