In a significant development concerning the long-pending issue of 10,323 terminated teachers in Tripura, the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) has convened a high-level meeting to deliberate on possible alternative solutions for the affected educators.
According to an official meeting notice issued by the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, TTAADC, Khumulwng, the meeting has been called by Mr. CK Jamatia, IAS (Retd.), Member of the Advisory and Administrative Reform Committee, TTAADC, under the chairmanship of the Chief Executive Member (CEM), TTAADC.
The meeting is scheduled to be held on March 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the Conference Hall No. 2, Secretariat Block, Main Administrative Building of TTAADC, Khumulwng.

The inclusion of banking representatives indicates that financial rehabilitation, alternative employment avenues, or livelihood support mechanisms may form part of the discussions. The meeting aims to explore constructive and viable options to address the concerns of the affected teachers, many of whom have been facing prolonged uncertainty following the termination of their services.
The issue of the 10,323 teachers has remained one of the most sensitive and prolonged matters in Tripura’s educational and political landscape. The upcoming meeting is expected to examine administrative, financial, and institutional possibilities within the jurisdiction of TTAADC to provide some form of relief or engagement to the affected individuals.
The outcome of the meeting is likely to be closely watched across the state, particularly by the affected teachers and their families, as it may pave the way for alternative rehabilitation measures within the TTAADC framework.
