East Agartala police station recovers 24 stolen mobiles, returns them to original owners

In a heartening performance of duty , the officers of the East Agartala police station recovered altogether 24 Android mobile sets , stolen at different times in the past few months. After the recovery of the mobile sets the officer in charge (OC) of East Agartala police station had called in the 24 complainant owners and handed them back their respective mobile sets after the owners had produced sufficient proof. The owners of all 24 mobiles had filed written complaints about the theft of their sets at different times in the past.

In the brief hand-back programme the SP (west) Namit Pathak, SDPO (Sadar) Deba Prasad Roy were also present along with OC Subrata Debnath.

Besides, a sub-inspector of East Agartala police station performing his duty as inquiry officer nabbed a thief who had stolen a gold chain from a woman. The man was shown before the media persons within the premise of the East Agartala police station.
