Discordant note in BJP, Kamala Sagar ‘Mandal’ president trolls chief minister

After more than long seven years in power the state BJP seems to be falling a victim to internal conspiracy sponsored by extraneous elements. At least this is the opinion of a large section of party, going by their reaction to a social media post by a ‘Mandal’ president in response to a post of the chief minister Dr Manik Saha. It was on September 27 that the chief minister Dr Manik Saha had delivered a speech in a programme wherein he had stated “ politics for us does not mean only occupying a chair , our aim is to serve the people….”. This speech was posted a social media ID titled ‘BJP Tripura’ .

Even though the chief minister’s speech posted in social media went down well with the party workers and supporters, a loud discordant note was struck by the ‘Mandal’ president of BJP in Kamala Sagar assembly constituency, Bishwajit Banik . He practically trolled the chief minister saying “your have destroyed the party, now such statement and speech mean nothing’ in the ‘comment’ box.

Bishwajit Banik’s trolling of the chief minister has provoked a serious reaction from loyal partymen and supporters who feel that he had made such derogatory comment against the supreme leader of the party in violation of basic discipline and as a handmaiden of a gang of self-seeking conspirators within the party. BJP sources from Kamala Sagar said that Bishwajit had never been very active in politics and was never considered eligible for holding the post of ‘Mandal’ president over the head of much more deserving Subir Chowdhury but lobbying within the party and conspiracy by vested interest groups helped catapult him to the post which he never deserved. “He is now showing his true colours; in stead of making a public spectacle he could have raised any issue within the part forum;now the leadership will be left with no other alternative but to proceed against him; he has also proved a failure in his organizational work and is busy earning money with the help of the MLA Antara Deb Sarkar” said sources. They added that they are waiting for the top leadership’s reaction to Bishwajit Banik’s unsavoury comment.
