Case filed against woman for abusive comment in social media against PM and AMC Mayor

Social media is turning out to be a new and effective people for launching and carrying on vilification campaign against individuals including VVIPs and various government and non-government organizations. Prime minister Narendra Modi who currently has the highest number of followers across social media platforms is not spared by his political and ideological rivals but unfounded attacks by individuals is relatively less, possibly because of fear of law.

But even this does not deter ignoramus social media users owing allegiance to particular political parties like the Marxists and the Congress. One such lady of Tripura identified as Madhavi Biswas spewed her poisoned bile in writing against the prime minister Narendra Modi as well as the Mayor of Agrtala Municipal Corporation , Dipak Majumder yesterday. This easily caught the attention of social media followers and today all the coporators of AMC signed a complaint against the obscure Madhavi Biswas and subimitted this to the West Agartala police station for registration as FIR as also for appropriate action .

Speaking on the issue on condition of anonymity a corporator and signatory to the complaint said that the AMC Mayor may be slammed by a citizen as he is holding an important post here but abusing him like this is a crime under existing law. On the issue of abuses hurled at the prime minister the corporator said “those owing allegiance to Congress and CPI (M) have realized that until and unless Narendra Modi is unseated they stand no chance of victory in Tripura ; this is why he is a favourite target”.
