Red Shield Gunners Inaugurate ‘Ex Samanvay Shakti, Military Civil Fusion Exercise’ at Agartala

The Red Shield Gunners today inaugurated ‘Ex Samanvay Shakti, Military Civil Fusion Exercise’ at Agartala, marking the beginning of a 10-day capsule aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Armed Forces and civil stakeholders.

Scheduled from 02–11 September 2025, the exercise brings together representatives from the Civil Administration, Police, Paramilitary Forces, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), academia, and various government agencies. The initiative is designed to foster synergy, enhance preparedness, and improve coordination in key domains including internal security, disaster management, infrastructure development, environmental preservation, and technological innovation.

Speaking on the occasion, Army officials highlighted that the exercise reflects the Armed Forces unwavering commitment to the whole of Nation Approach in addressing present and emerging security challenges. By encouraging closer collaboration and mutual understanding, the programme is expected to build resilience, strengthen national security, and promote sustainable development.

The inauguration witnessed enthusiastic participation from all stakeholders, reaffirming the importance of integrated efforts between the military and civil organisations to collectively address the complex challenges of the 21st century.
