Mysterious death of tribal house-wife, husband, a retrenched teacher taken into custody

A tribal house-wife was found hanging dead in her living room this morning at Vivekananda Pally Rajkumar Para under Bisramganj police station this morning . Suspecting foul play behind the purported suicide the police personnel from Bisramganj police station took the husband into custody for interrogation.

Police sources from Bisramganj said that the suspect husband Rahul Debbarma (38) had been a 10,323 group of teachers till retrenchment in April 2020 and was living in his ancestral home in Raj Kumar Para area of Vivekananda Pally . While doing odd jobs to maintain his wife Rekha Debbarma and lone son Ankit Debbarma (12) Rahul had developed illicit liaison with another lady and this became the reason for frequent quarrels between the husband and wife. There was a long bout of heated exchange between Rahul and Rekha.

This morning Rakha Debbarma was found hanging dead from the ceiling fan in their living room and the matter was reported to the Bisramganj police station. After receiving the information the SP (Sepahijala) Bijay Debbarma, additional SP Rajiv Sutradhar , officer in charge of Bisramganj police station Ajit Debbarma rushed to Rahul Debbarma’s house and pulled down the hanging dead body of Rekha before sending it to Bisramganj primary health centre where she was declared dead. After post-mortem Rekha’s body was handed over to her parental family.

Following a complaint from deceased Rekha’s father the police detained Rekha’s husband Rahul Debbarma for interrogation. Sources said that the position deceased Rekha Debbrma’s body while hanging and injury marks on her body have created suspicion over the manner of her death. However after receiving the post-mortem report the police will decide upon the next course of action and in case anything suspicious is found in the post-mortem report , Rekha’s husband Rahul Debbarma will be arrested for murder.
