Newly set up Congress office in Harina market area under Sabroom set afire by miscreants

As part of his consistent effort to expand organizational network the PCC president Asish Kumar Saha had opened a new office of the Congress in Harina market under Sabroom subdivision of south Tripura on July 28 . But a gang of unidentified miscreants, suspected to be linked to ruling BJP , set the newly opened office on fire last night. As the news of the office being gutted spread far and wide the south district Congress president Mridul Patari , the Manu block Congress president Chelafru Mog and other party leaders reached Harina and saw for themselves the burnt remains of the office.
Having seen the burnt office opened only two days back Mridul Patari, the south district president of the party, condemned the incident of arsoning and later filed a complaint with the Manu Bazar police station in Sabroom subdivision. Speaking to media persons Mridul Patari accused the BJP miscreants of the arsoning incident. “We know that miscreants sheltered under the BJP banner last night poured petrol on the newl opened office and burnt it down; we demand identification of the miscreants and their arrest and punishment” said Patari. He asserted that the arsoning had been committed out of political vendetta.
The local Congress leaders and workers of Harina also said that unless the police take early action against the culprits in the matter a larger movement will be launched in the entire area . Sources said that police have already launched investigation into the matter.
