09.05.2024Ali Imam Mazumder[email protected]The article is a brief contemporary political history of India in lucid language. It’s worth reading, undoubtedly. However, the demolition of the Babri Mosque during the tenure of Narasimha Rao has alienated the Indian Muslim voters from their age-old affiliation with the Indian National Congress. The Babri Masjid was built in 1528 by Mir Baqi, a general of the Mughal emperor Babur, on a site that was allegedly a Hindu temple dedicated to Rama. The mosque was named after Babur, who is said to have prayed there. The mosque symbolised the Mughal rule and the Islamic presence in India, lasting over three centuries. The mosque was also a place of worship and a cultural centre for the local Muslim community, who regarded it as a sacred and historical monument. The Babri Masjid demolition is a blot in Indian History. And it brought shame to India. They were, and they are, a sizeable vote bank. Of course, the Muslims of India nowadays are multipolar & ultimately significant losers.
09.05.2024kriskesavan[email protected]The post shows the writers contempt for BJP. An extremely lopsided post. The 28 tit pit party INDI Alliance have been looting the public . Whether one likes it or not BJP was chosen by people’s mandate . Let the INDI Alliance work hard, win the election and form Govt . I am for any Govt who can deliver . Hate mongering is a dangerous disease.
