Demonetization not enough to recover black money, says CM

Agartala, Jan 12, 2017 : Chief Minister Manik Sarkar continues to hit the demonetization drive saying that the move is aimed at diverting the peohple’s attention to the real problems.
“People those who stashed huge money are the bigger beneficial after the demonetization drive. In fact, Modiji has taken the decision to provide benefit to big industrial houses like Tata, Birala and Ambani”, he alleged in a rally at Khowai on Wednesday.
The rally was organized to mark commencement of state level conference of Tribal Youth Federation (TYF).
In his marathon speech, Sarkar alleged the BJP led NDA could not fulfill any of its promises given to the people before the last Lok Sabha elections.
“People are facing a lot of problem due to demonetization drive and price rise. It had promised to bring acche din for the people but what it brought is simply disastrous”, he stated.
Strongly demanding for a special drive to recover black money, the chief minister said the much-hyped demonetization will not be able to address the problem of black money. “ Modiji must undertake a drive to recover black money and take legal action against those who own illegal money”, he added.
CEM of TTAADC Radha Charan Debbarma, DYFI Secretary Amal Chakraborty and TYF’s general secretary Amalendu Debbarma also spoke on the occasion.
