Tripura Congress demonstrate against demonetization before RBI

Agartala, Jan 10, 2017 : Members of Tripura Pradesh Mahila Congress launched demonstration across the state against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s demonetization drive and demanded for roll back of the decision to bring an end to the sufferings of the common people.
Mahila Congress supporters brought out a protest rally demanding Prime Minister Modi’s resignation allegedly for looting money of the poor, farmers, working class and the unemployed in the name of recovering black money and demonstrated with empty plates in from of the RBI office here.
Former MP and AICC Tripura coordinator Sardar Amzad Ali who led the agitation said, “As Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made commitments to the people that the move will bring back black money, terror funding and solve the problem of counterfeit currencies and within 50 days everything will be normal. But even after crossing the deadline that Modi had declared the suffering of people are still continuing and the worst sufferers are the poor. Congress party which till the deadline was silent is now agitating and protesting against the Prime Ministers move.”
Ali further added that Congress will continue its agitation against demonetization until the problem is solved.
He informed that Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has asked the Prime Minister to release the list of depositors who had deposited more than Rs 25 lakh during the six month period before the decision of demonetisation was announced but Modi is yet to response.
Beside capital Agartala the Congress party has launched an extensive campaign up to sub-division level across the state over demonetization and attacked the BJP led government at the centre for miserably failed in delivering the assured benefits to the people and rather making life of commoners horrible.
